About Us
Precision Academy is an NCA-accredited Performing Plus high school with some of the highest AIMS percentage results in the southwestern part of the Valley.
Teachers at Precision Academy pride themselves on helping students with their individual questions and needs. Students receive much individual attention each day.
Geared for students in grades 9 – 12 who are considering attending either community college or a university, the campus is located at 75th Avenue and McDowell.
The 2010-2011 school year marks Precision Academy’s twelfth year.
Students take four courses per day on an A/B alternating block schedule so that they may earn eight (8) credits at the end of the school year.
You are able to graduate in three years.
Classes start at 8 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. Once a month, there is a Friday 1 p.m. dismissal to allow teachers time for educational workshops.
School begins in August and ends at the end of May. There is a week of fall break, two weeks of winter break, and a week of spring break.
There are computers available for every student. Computers are wireless XP and wireless MAC.
Class size is kept small so that students have plenty of time to ask teachers questions and receive individual attention.
Every teacher in the school helps students prepare for the reading, writing, and math portions of the AIMS test. Students practice a math concept in each class each day.
Students exceeding in AIMS receive — upon graduation from Precision Academy — a $500 scholarship for each portion of AIMS exceeded.
Scholarships of varying amounts are available for graduates.
